some people…
make your heart sing out in miraculous chorus.
make you believe in the greatness that exists in the universe.
always put a smile on your face, even when all you want to do is curl up in the dark and cry.
make you want to listen to happy music.
and those people… you need to hold on to them tightly, never let them go, treat them like royalty, appreciate their sacrifices and love them with all your heart.
The Salad Days Are Over
… meat is at my door.
They might try to tell you how you can live your life,
But don’t forget its your right to do whatever you like.

A song that makes you feel good - - “En Ville (Frisco)” -Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Mystére’
A song that inspires you - - “Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)” -Patrick Stump
A song that makes you sad
A song you know all the lyrics to
A song you can relate to
A song you secretly love
Favorite “fuck you” song
A song you’ve dedicated to someone special
Favorite break up song
Favorite love song
A song you’ll never get tired of
A song you’ve played out
A song that describes you
A song that calms you down
A song that brings back a memory
A song that reminds you of your friends
A song that reminds you of your family
A song you want played at your funeral
A song you want played at your wedding
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like
A “throwback” song
A song that you can nod your head to
A song that makes you laugh
A “chill” song
A song that can put you to sleep
A good song you’ve recently discovered
Any song you want

My beloved Utah Utes are competing in Norman, Oklahoma tomorrow in an NCAA regional competition, looking for a berth to the NCAA Championships.
GO UTES!
Also, I’m watching the first season of 30Rock on Netflix, and it makes me happy.

North Korea
I just watched the documentary “Kimjongilia.”
I want to cry a bit. It is heartbreaking and gut-wrenching to hear the stories of those who defected from the country and of the horrific situations they endured whilst living in North Korea.
It has pushed me to wonder why no country has stepped in to liberate the people from their dictator. As a country, the United States has stepped in to liberate other people from dictatorial oppression, but has yet to do anything with North Korea. UN resolutions past were defeated by the veto-power of China, who at one point was a very close ally of North Korea, but has since backed away after some incredibly stupid decisions on the behalf of Kim Jong Il.
North Korea needs to be saved, liberated, educated, assisted and reformed. The people need it. Korea isn’t a paradise as named in government propaganda, it is a hell-hole. of 23 million people, nearly all are malnourished while Kim Jong Il struts around with a pot-belly. He expects his people to survive on 120 grams of rice per day. 120 grams is less than half a stick of butter in weight. Very little at all. His army is malnourished. His people are malnourished.
My heart goes out to North Korea.
In the future, hopefully as a member of the US Foreign Service, I will be able to do something to help North Korea escape tyranny and move into the modern era, where there is food to eat, things to learn, and a government to be appreciated instead of feared.

Alegria!
Just finished watching Cirque du Soleil’s “Alegria.”
I am completely enamored with Cirque du Soleil and their continuous ability to recruit, train and perform the most talented individuals I’ve ever watched practice their craft.
I would give damn near anything to view a live show.
I know it might be wrong
but if spring time in Utah is wrong, then fornicate being right with an un-lubricated cactus.
